Platypus Shoes

I bought Jake some new shoes yesterday, and this morning when I asked him what shoes he wanted to wear to school, he said "The octopus shoes."

I replied "Jake, seriously, what shoes do you want?"

"The octopus, no, I mean the platypus shoes."

"The platypus shoes?" I reply, trying to figure out which shoes might remind him of a platypus.

Then it hits me. The PLAID shoes. "Plaid"ypus! Ha!
